QUESTION:

Why did 7000 Believers not bow to idols?

ANSWER:

“Yet I have left Me seven thousand in Israel, all the knees which have not bowed unto Baal, and every mouth which hath not kissed him.” [I Kings 19:18]

“I have reserved to Myself seven thousand men, who have not bowed the knee to the image of Baal.” [Romans 11:4]

“Jezebel refused to hear the Word of the Lord. She wouldn't want to call that old fuzzy-looking preacher, Elijah, her pastor. But he was her pastor, anyhow. Right. God sent him, and he bellowed out his message. Though uneducated, they don't know where he come from or where he went to. He came on the scene with the Word of the Lord. He sent his message, that he preached, and he condemned everything there was, called sin. That, that modern Jezebel, had switched and bewitched the people under the witchcraft of her powers until the whole nation was corrupted, and Elijah stood alone out there on the mountain. God said, "Elijah, don't think that. I've got seven thousand down there that's honest in heart, yet." That's his second pull, and the third one went back for them.” [The Flashing Red Light Of The Sign Of His Coming, Jeffersonville In 63-0623E]

“Notice when that Jezebel rose on the scene, there was a man rose up against it. God brought a man. We don't even know where he come from. He had no background of ministry. He never was no priest or nothing. He come forth, an old rugged woodsman by the name of Elijah, and he laid the axe to the root of the tree, and they hated him. Not only that, but his whole congregation hated him. And one time he thought he stood alone. He said, "No, I got seven thousand yet that's right with you." See? That was that elected group, see. There is always that group. Said, "Don't fear, Elijah. I know you think you're run out, because the denominations run you up there on top of the hill. But," said, "I got seven thousand that believes the same thing you're preaching. See, I got them." [Souls That Are In Prison Now, Jeffersonville In 63-1110M]

“What this is for is to get the elected people that's coming out, like in the days of Noah. Like in the days of--of Elijah, the seven thousand or seven hundred, or whatever it was, that hadn't bowed their knee, to call them out. John calling out the elected, and give it over to Christ when He come, swapped his church, said, "I must decrease, He must increase, because," he said, "I'm just a voice of Him, crying in the wilderness, 'prepare the way for the Lord.'" And Jesus come the same way. Gets the elected ready to hear the voice of God, that's what the prophetic sign is. Oh, if you follow these messages, get the per-... get the elected ready. Not the others, will never hear it. It's the elected that's called.” [The Voice Of The Sign, Jeffersonville In 64-0313]

“But when Elijah came out there with such a message as he had, could you imagine? He became a nut to--to--to Pharaoh, or to... Pardon me. To Ahab, he became a regular... Separating himself! But, you see, there was seven thousand among those people, see, that could be saved. See? And he came for them. He had to become a nut to the world, in order to catch them. So did Noah, had to become a nut to the world to catch eight souls, with himself. See? He had to become an odd sort of--of a person.” [The Oddball, Prescott AZ 64-0531]

“Ahab, he was a nut, exactly, to Elijah and the seven thousand, all his group out there. Jezebel in all their fine, fancy fandangles and things they had out there, that was a nut to that seven thousand, never bow their knee to Baal. And so was Elijah a nut to them, see, the same thing.” [The Oddball, Prescott AZ 64-0531]

“Look at the age of Noah, at the climax before judgment. What happened? Noah, it was only his own family that believed the man. The rest of them criticized him. And destroyed the whole world. In the days of Abraham, only Abraham's group that believed. When the angels went and preached to Sodom, only Lot and his wife and two daughters come out, and she turned back to a pillar of salt. In the days of Moses, only the elected of Israel come out. And Pharaoh hated him. In the days of Elijah, everything (almost) but seven thousand men, every one of them hated him, the whole nation. In the days of Jeremiah, why, they throwed unripe fruit at him, and called him a fanatic, because he laid on his side for so many days, and the other side, and--and taken things and made symbols. They hated him. Isaiah the prophet, he condemned that race so much till they sawed him in two with a saw.” [Events Made Clear By Prophecy, Jeffersonville IN 65-0801E]

“Now the believers can see the Word is made flesh in their generation, God speaking. Now, them real true believers, them seven thousand, or was it seven hundred, in the days of Elijah. Seven thousand is right. In the days of Elijah, there was seven thousand men out of about two or three million, that saw that That was right. Not even a hundredthof the people, hardly, but they saw It was right. They saw God manifested.” [Events Made Clear By Prophecy, Jeffersonville IN 65-0801E]

“When Jezebel got the power of the state behind her she forced her religion on the people and killed the prophets and priests of God. It got so bad that Elijah, the messenger to his day, thought he was the only one left; but God had seven thousand more that hadn't bowed the knee to Baal. And right now out there amongst those denominations of Baptists, Methodists, Presbyterians, etc., there are some that will come out and come back to God. I want you to know I am not, now, and never have been against the people. It is the denomination--the system of organization that I am against. I have to be against it for God hates it.” [Thyatirean Church Age Book]

“But consider this also. This prophet-messenger will be in his nature and manners as were Elijah and John. The people of this prophet-messenger's day will be as they were in Ahab's day, and in John's. And since it is "ONLY THE CHILDREN" whose hearts will be turned, it is only the children who will listen. In the days of Ahab only seven thousand true seed Israelites were found. In the days of John there were also very few. The masses in both ages were in the fornication of idolatry.” [Laodicean Church Age Book]
