“Order my steps in thy word: and let not any iniquity have dominion over me.” [Psalm 119:133]
“And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.” [Matthew 24:12]
“But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear.” [Isaiah 59:2]
“But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.” [Isaiah 53:5]
“Many will confess and say, "I have cast out devils in Thy Name, and in Thy Name I prophesied," preachers and so forth, and everything. He'd say, "Depart from Me, you workers of iniquity. I didn't even know you." Some people might've went out and had some kind of a fleshly idea, tried to get popular, or some big education, or could speak a few swell words and made some money out of it. Jesus said, "You workers of iniquity, I didn't even know you." And iniquity is something that you know that you ought to do and will not do it. That's right. And every man knows that he's got to be borned again by the Spirit of God. You've got to receive the Holy Ghost. To turn It down is just the same as to turn Jehovah of the Old Testament, down in that day, or Jesus in His day: Same penalty and worse if you turn down the Holy Ghost.” [The Angel Of The Lord, Phoenix AZ, 51-0414]
“Didn't Jesus say, "Many will come to Me in that day, and say, 'Lord, haven't I prophesied in Your Name? In Your Name I've cast out devils. I've done mighty works. I've been a great man in the organization. I've done all these things, these things'"? He'll say, "Depart from Me, you that work iniquity." What is iniquity? It's something that you know that's right, and you concede it and won't do it, in your heart. When you know that that Bible teaches a certain thing, and you won't do it, that's iniquity. And David said, "If I hide iniquity in my heart, God will not even hear my prayer." Is that Truth? Is that the Bible? [Congregation says, "Amen."--Ed.] Now, surely you couldn't get angry with That, see. Jesus said that, "Many will come to Me in that day, and say, 'I've done all these things,' and I'll say, 'Depart, you works of iniquity.'" Same as did Adam. Adam said, "Lord, I did this, I did that." But one Word, see, one Word did it. That's all it takes, just disobey one Word.” [The Harvest Time, Phoenix AZ, 64-1212]
“Sometimes faith will do great miracles and still doesn't come from a spiritual heart. Did not our Lord say, "Many will come to Me that day and say, 'Have not I did this and that in Your Name?' and I will confess to them, "Depart from Me, you workers of iniquity." What is iniquity? It's something that you know to do right and don't do it. "I never knew you," He will say. And we're living in that day. What we need today is not a lot of material things; we have that. We don't need greater churches; we don't need greater congregations. We don't need more on radio and on television. We don't need so many more of these things. But what we need today to be spiritual, is a person that will humble themselves before God if they haven't got a penny, and will pray till that spirit within them is satisfied with the goodness of God, and a revival takes place on the inside of their heart that changes their attitudes and atmosphere that they live in.” [Be Certain Of God, Jefferson, IN, 59-0125]
“Now, maybe you never sinned, but there might be a sin that your father did, your grandfather did. He said He'd visit the iniquity of the parents upon the third and fourth generation. And each generation gets weaker and wiser as the Bible said. But it's all started from sin. Before sin ever came into the world there were no sickness in the world. And sickness came through the fall, and the fall was sin, and sin is unbelief. "He that believeth not is condemned already." Before you even get started you're condemned. You're born in sin, shaped in iniquity, come to the world speaking lies. No matter how much you was dedicated on the altar, how many times you were sprinkled, baptized, poured, whatever it is, you're still a sinner, that's all, until you repent and God recognizes and seals that promise with the Holy Spirit. That's right. Then you're borned again. Then you're son and daughter of God. It's a regeneration, a new creation. Then your attributes, your--your thoughts are not like they were, your life is not like it was. You become a complete surrendered vessel to God, and He speaks and uses you, and you're not your own no more. But you're bought with a price. That's the price of the precious Blood of the Lord Jesus Christ. Think of it.[Hear Ye Him, Parkersburg WV, 56-1215]
“David cried, "Forget not all His benefits. Bless the LORD, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless His holy Name. Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits:" (Benefits, what is the benefits In the journey?) Who forgives all of mine iniquity... (Iniquity is something that you going out, and you do it, and you know you oughtn't to have done it: He forgives it. You ask Him; He forgive you.)... forgives all of my iniquity; Who heals all my diseases;" Now, I want to settle this for you forever. Then somebody says, "Brother Branham, do you believe in Divine healing?" Now, let me say this sensibly and sanely. I want some person, some doctor, some science somewhere, I invite them in this revival to come to this pulpit and show me one place where anybody was ever healed outside of Divine healing. I--I want you to go to your doctor or to anybody that you wish to, and show me any person that was ever healed outside of Divine healing. I want you to bring me the medicine that'll heal. I want you to bring me the doctor that says he's a healer. He will be a healer all right, "heel, a heel of a doctor." [God Keeps His Word, Jeffersonville, IN, 57-0407M]
“But God is the only One Who can heal, or ever did heal, or ever will heal. If we had some medicine that would heal, we could build a man right here on this platform with the medicine. That's right. We could build a man, create him right here on the platform. Just think of it. All healing is Divine healing. God has methods of doing it. Now, you say, "Well, Brother Branham, I had a operation, the tumor or appendicitis, that the doctor had to cut it out, or I'd died." That's probably the truth. But did you know, the doctor never healed you. The doctor moved the obstruction. He just cut the appendix off. That's the thing was hurting you, but he never healed it.” [God Keeps His Word, Jeffersonville, IN, 57-0407M]
“And every redemptive blessing belongs to you and I. The only thing is to appropriate faith to receive it. "For He was wounded for our transgressions; He was bruised for our iniquity: and the chastisement of our peace was upon Him, and with His stripes we were healed." It's all a past tense. It's a finished work. It's something that we just look to Calvary where the supreme sacrifice was made, and there we draw remunerations from His death by our faith in His finished work. Nothing that I could do, nothing that someone else can do, but it's what God has done and what we believe that He has done. Therefore we take it from the Word and base our faith upon the finished work. And now, I'll say this as I go on record on these recordings, that the right mental attitude towards any of God's Divine promises, will bring it to pass. I don't care what it is. If you can look at it in the right attitude, believe it, God will make every promise that's He made, true.” [Jesus Christ The Same Yesterday Today And Forever, Middletown OH, 58-0323]
“"But if I regard iniquity in my heart, then God will not hear my prayer," said David. What is iniquity? Iniquity is something that you know that you're doing that you ought not to do and still won't repent of it. If I regard iniquity in my heart, knowing that I should do it, and don't do it, then God promised, the Bible promises that God will not hear your prayer, if you know you should do it and won't do it. That right, brethren? That right, brother ministers? It's true, if you regard iniquity.” [Behold A Greater Than Solomon Is Here, Salem OR, 62-0721]
“Oh, friend, if you can only read your name in there! Oh, if I can read my name, "He was wounded for William Branham's transgressions. He was bruised." Not the church, not just... not creed." "But He was bruised for my iniquity. The chastisement of my peace was upon Him. And with His stripes William Branham was healed." Oh, if we can just read our name into Scripture, and really mean it, it's that what does it. Read our name into it, makes a receiving, pardoning, for when we realize that He was wounded for our transgression, He was bruised for our iniquity.” [Pardon, Tucson, AZ, 63-1028]
Our Bible Study Subject for November 2011: Let Not Any Iniquity Have Dominion Over Me
May God lead us to confess our iniquities often, so that God will hear our prayer.
