September 2017 Newsletter Subject: For This Saying...

“And she answered and said unto him, Yes, Lord: yet the dogs under the table eat of the children's crumbs. And he said unto her, For this saying go thy way; the devil is gone out of thy daughter. And when she was come to her house, she found the devil gone out, and her daughter laid upon the bed.” [Mark 7:28-30]
“For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession.  For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin.“[Hebrews 4:12, 14-15]
“When the little girl died, Jairus' daughter, the priest said, "Come lay hands on her, and she'll live." But when the Roman centurion, the Gentile, said. "I'm not worthy You come under my roof, speak the word." That's it. See? The Syrophenician woman, Greek actually what she was, when she--when Jesus said to her, said, "It's not meet for Me to take the children's bread and give it to the dogs." She said, "That's true, Lord; but the dogs under the table eats the children's crumbs." He said, "For this saying, the devil's left your daughter." Say good things then. Say something good about somebody. Talk about Jesus. Say something loyal, something real. That's the way to get rid of devils. He never said--He never prayed for the girl. He never said one thing about her being healed; He just said, "For this saying, for this saying..."“ [59-1219 Questions And Answers On The Holy Ghost, Jeffersonville IN]
“Do you know God does things sometimes just to--to do things a different way, and just to find out what people will do? Now it's over your head, you haven't seen it and haven't noticed it, but I done something just now to do something. And that so helped me. And I watched it work. See, you say things, you change your--your--your attitude, you change your voice, you change sometimes your sermon; watching and seeing certain things, then watch and see how it acts. Because, the prayer line is fixing to come up, it would be better for that not to be among you. See? See, just to see it happen, then you change yourself and go back somewhere again. See? God did that very thing. He still does it, noticing. She had the right approach to God's gift. And remember, she was the first one, the Gentile, that God ever done a miracle on. She was the first Gentile. Faith admits the Word is Truth. And it's reverent, very reverent, and that's what, and perseverant, and that's what it is.” [63-1116E Perseverance, New York NY]
“Jesus had just been called Beelzebub. His ministry had been questioned, and He had discerned their thoughts and know what they were thinking. Isn't it wonderful and such a consolation to know tonight that He still knows our thoughts and what we're thinking? Your thoughts is louder in heaven than your voice is on earth, for He is a discerner of the thoughts of the mind. His Word is sharper and quicker than a two-edged sword, piercing even to the--to the thoughts of the mind. And He--He knows all things; therefore He can deliver all things as God will permit. Now, Jesus said, "I do nothing except My Father shows Me first." And the Father would show Him things and He would speak it.” [58-0208 The Queen Of The South, South Bend IN]
“Hebrews 3:1. He's the High Priest of our confession. Now, anyone who knows the Scripture, knows that that word is written "profession," but the same word's translated "confession." In other words, He cannot save you by the merits of your prayer. He cannot save you by the merits of your enthusiasm or your good works. He saves you by the merits of your faith and your confession. "For if you will confess Me before men, him will I confess before My Father and the holy Angels." And whatever of any re... Listen close. Any redemptive blessing that's written in the Word... Now, there's no need of you arguing of it, whether it's in the atonement. If it's in the Word, God is sovereign and has to fulfill His Word. "For heavens and earth will pass away, but My Word will not pass away."” [51-0727 The Church Of The Living God, Erie PA]
“Watch what that did to Jesus. He said, "For this saying... For this saying." See, she had the right approach to God's gift. You got to approach it right. When you're setting out there, when you're in church, when you're at the altar, wherever you are, you've got to approach God in the right manner. Favor... Faith always admits the truth. Martha, let's speak of her just a few minutes. Martha--we always think she was so dilatory about getting her house cleaned when she was going to entertain Jesus. Mary, a little lazy side, just set around and listened. Jesus, of course, said she listened to the better things. Rut Martha showed her color what she was, what was in her heart. She knowed that Jesus was the Son of God.” [62-0623 Perseverant, South Gate CA]
“Now, when you believed you were saved, setting in your seat, out in the--wherever you was, you accepted it and begin to confess and tell people you were saved. Well, you kept on saying, "I'm saved."  The people said, "They ain't no difference in you," but you believed there was. Is that right? And you kept with your confession and after while it worked righteousness. All your neighbors and everybody knows you're saved now, because you believed it, you confessed it. Why, what happened? What changed you? He's the High Priest of your confession, setting at the right hand of the Father, making good what you're confessing. Now, that's the same thing it is by healing. You accept Him as your Healer, renounce your feelings. It's not by feelings; it's by faith. Say you're healed; believe you're healed; act like you're healed; associate with those who believe in healing; and God will bring you right out to a perfect soundness of health: will not fail.” [53-0219 Accept God's Gift, Tallahassee FL]
“And if you approach the Holy Ghost, the Gift of God, in the right way, you'll not only get crumbs, you'll get a plate full; if you'll just approach It in the right way. There's only one way to approach It: that's not take your letter from one church to another; that's not run from one denomination to another; that's not for (See?) repeating what's called the creed, or the apostles' creed. It's not the apostles' creed. And if you'll repeat the right apostle's creed, it'll be all right. Acts tells you how to do it. Peter said on the day of Pentecost, said, "Repent." There you are. "Repent, every one of you and be baptized in the Name of Jesus Christ for the remission of your sins, and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost." That's the creed. That's the way to do it. Yes, sir. She had it then. She had it right. She was approaching the Gift in the correct way. And if you'll approach It in the same way, "Repent and be baptized," then you're sure to get the Holy Ghost 'cause God promised it (It's exactly right.) with an authoritative Word.” [62-0520 Perseverance, Chicago IL]
“Now, healing is not something that you just say, "Well, I... yeah, I believe it. I believe it." Now, that's all right. If that's the best you can do, just mentally, or just say, "Well, I... Yes, I--I see it. I believe that; I accept it." Then if you accept it on those basis, keep saying it over and over. Say it out loud. Say it over and over; just keep saying, "I'm healed. I'm healed." Say it until actually you believe it. And when you believe it, then it's going to take place. Don't have a negative testimony. Every time when you confess, "Well, I still feel bad today. I guess I..." you go right straight back in the same rut that you was in the beginning. There's not a man or woman in here that is baptized with Holy Spirit but what would start your confession, "I believe I've lost the Holy Spirit. I believe It's gone from me.” [53-0219 Accept God's Gift, Tallahassee FL]
