January 2011 Newsletter - Subject of the Month

“Then said they unto him, What shall we do, that we might work the works of God? Jesus answered and said unto them, This is the work of God, that ye believe on him whom he hath sent.” [John 6:28-29]
“Jesus answered, Neither hath this man sinned, nor his parents: but that the works of God should be made manifest in him.” [John 9:3]
“Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.” [John 14:12]
“I would find, tonight, in the closing hours of this world's history, and the world in the confusion that it is in, religiously speaking also, that it would be good for us to know, from the Scripture, what is the works of God. How many in this visible audience would like to know what the works of God is? We might know so we could do them. I truly believe that the works of God has many phases to it. I believe the Church is a works of God. I believe missionary is a works of God. Evangelism is a works of God. And above all, soul saving is the works of God. Divine healing is a works of God. And the gifts of the Spirit is a works of God. It could be talked on many different outlets.” [What Is The Works Of God, LA CA, 59-0404]
“Jesus turned around and taught them a lesson. They said, "His father must've sinned, or--or did his mother sin, or did he sin?" Jesus said, "Neither of them sinned, but that the works of God might be made manifest." Amen. See? God lets things happen just to, for the works of God to be made manifest. Now, and so He said, told the man and give him his sight, and He went His way. And here come the Pharisees up when that was rumored around. Here was a man was blind, setting out there begging, and here he could see. And then the rumor around among them, and oh, my, that stirred up something. And here they come up there, and they seen that the blind man could see. And first, they went, wanted to find some way to put a fear upon all the people, 'cause they had already said, "If anybody goes after this new doctrine and this new prophet called Jesus of Nazareth, immediately they'll be handed their paper and fellowship from the church. They cannot go to the synagogue no longer. If you associate with him, attend one of his meetings or anything, you can't go no more." [Taking Sides With Jesus, Jeffersonville IN, FRIDAY, 62-0601]
He was permitted to be blind so the works of God could be manifested (See?), 'cause he come on the side of the Lord Jesus. He took sides with Him. Now, he put a stinger to them. You know what they did? They said, "Now, we know you were borned in sin, try to teach us." And shoved him out of the church, knocked him out, pushed him out, throwed him out. But as soon as he was throwed out, did you notice? Jesus found him again. Amen, amen. Jesus found him again. So don't worry if they throw you out. He'll find you again. See? All right. And He said to him, "Does thou believe on the Son of God?" He said, "Lord, Who is He?" He didn't even know, but the only thing that he knowed, that where he was blind, he could then see.” [Taking Sides. With Jesus, Jeffersonville IN, 62-0601]
“Now. "The works that I do..." God is in His church to continue His works. That's why He sent the Holy Ghost. Now, He knowed that. He--He knowed it wouldn't be--it couldn't be done that way, so was it by otherwise... So He had to send... The Father sent the Son, put all that's in the Son in you. And the same works that He did, the same very works now that Jesus did, you'll do also, the church. Wouldn't you like to do the works of God? Jesus said, "If you want to do the works of God, believe on Me." How you believe on Him? You can't do it till you got the Holy Ghost, 'cause no man can say He is the Son of God. You're saying what somebody else said, "The Bible said that He's the Son of God; I believe the Bible." All right. "The Bible says He's the Son of God; I believe the Bible. The pastor says He's the Son of God; I believe the pastor. Mama says He's the Son of God; I believe Mama. My friend says He's the Son of God; I believe my friend." But the only way that I can say He's the Son of God, is when the Holy Ghost comes in and bears record of Itself. Then I know He's the Son of God. No man can call Jesus "Christ," only by the Holy Ghost. There. No man speaking by the Spirit of God called Jesus accursed or say He was something that day and something else today. That's makes Him weak and faultry. No, sir. He's the same yesterday, today, and forever. Any true spirit will bear record of that.” [What Was The Holy Ghost Given For, Jeffersonville IN, 59-1217]
“I believe there is a Bride that's predestinated. I believe God said He would have a Church without spot or wrinkle. I believe in predestination, that the Bride is predestinated; She's got to be there. I hope I'm with Her. I'm with Her. Now, it's up to me to work out my own salvation with God until these things are approved of God and then sealed into the Kingdom of God. There's the Holy Spirit. There's the genuine works of God. It's sealed until the day of redemption. That was her dream. I thought it was beautiful.” [Blasphemous Names, Jeffersonville IN, 62-1104]
Now, God is depending on you as a member of His Body to bear fruit of His Spirit. And now, if He's depending on you, let's open up our channels, and let the Holy Spirit come in tonight and energize us, and--and free us from all these fears and doubts. Revival's come. Someone said, "The power was only given to the apostles for those things." I'm not an historian but I have read much history--of church history. And I have never seen a time, in all the history of the world, where there ever was waves of the Holy Ghost that ever struck the church and without a revival but what signs and wonders and miracles followed it. God healed the sick in every age and will continue to do it in every age, where people and churches are willing to let loose and let the Holy Spirit take control of their being.” [The Fundamental Foundation For Faith, Chicago IL, 55-0113  E-25]
Everything manifests itself, every spirit manifests. If I told you the spirit of John Dillinger was in me, that outlaw, I'd be dangerous to stand on the platform before you, because I'd have guns and I'd be a robber if his spirit's in me. If I had the spirit of an artist, I could paint the picture for you like the artist. If I say, "The Spirit of Christ is in me," then I must do the works of Christ. Jesus said, "The Father has sent Me, and if I do not the works of God, then believe Me not. But if I do the works, and you can't believe Me, believe theworks that you might be saved." How plain. Your objective right, your motive right, sincerely, dumped out of self, and yield yourself to the Holy Spirit and watch what He will do for you.” [The Queen Of The South  Waterloo IA, 58-0125]
“And if God's gifts are right, you don't have to support it so much financially, but you ought to support it with the praises of God, with testimony, with leading people to Christ, and doing something for the glory of God. Not only your money or so forth, but everything that's in you you should support the work of the Lord. She ladened the camel. And as she went, remember, with all that gold on those camels, thousands times thousands of dollars' worth of gold, and precious jewels, and myrrh, and frankincense, smelling perfumes that was very costly. And when she went to see that if it was right, she was going to support it. Now, look what a chance she had to take, all them robbers in the desert just waiting for her.” [The Queen Of Sheba, Chicago IL, 58-0107]
“And that Word in you produces the Life of Christ. If I could take the life out of a peach tree and put it in a pear, it wouldn't bear peaches no more, it would have pears on it because the life in the tree would produce what it is. The life that's in you shows what you are. Your life testifies so loud, in you, until your testimony is not heard. They know what you are by the life you live and the things that you do. If the Life of Christ is in you, then, therefore, the works and Life of Christ you live, because that's His Life living through you. You're just in a vessel to carry on the work of God.” [Investments, New York NY, 63-1116B]
"But the true Word comes to the true prophet, and he tells you the true Word. You follow that true Word, and you get a true experience of the Word, because the Word is made flesh in you, and you become God's son, and the Word of God is revolving right out of God into you, because you are of His Nature, His Spirit is in you, and you'll do the works of God. Hallelujah. The Bible said so. Oh, my.” [You Must Be Born Again, Jeffersonville IN, 61-1231M]
“May we, this morning, Lord, in another way, or in another time, consecrate ourselves to Thee, and in our humility believe that You're going to stir a revival through this valley. And we are so weak, Lord. To try to undertake such a great effort, it would be totally impossible. But Thou, O God, can take the weak things of the earth and can make mighty works of God by them. We humble ourselves as believers, and asking that You will take these weak vessels, and will work Your works through them, that we might see a great results when this meeting is over, that the work of God has begin to be made manifest afresh in this valley. Altogether, Lord, work Your glory through us, that others might see the good things of God, and long to serve Him. We commit these things to You with love and respects, and faith, in the Name of Jesus Christ. Amen. [Influence, Phoenix AZ, 63-0112]
Our Bible Study Subject for January 2011:What shall we do, that we might work the works of God?
Lord, we consecrate oursleves to you, asking that you will take our weak vessels, our failures, and work the "works of God through us" for your glory this year.
